Hi there,

Welcome to Smederij Abbekerk (aka The Forge)! Here you can relax in our Guesthouse or even make your own jewelry in the old barn during workshop that Aukje leads with enthusiasm.

We, Peter and Aukje, moved to this beautiful bell-shaped farmhouse in the summer of 2022. Peter feels completely at home here since he is a true West Frisian. Aukje has moved her goldsmith workshops from the canals of Haarlem to our cool barn.

We have transformed the adjacent house into a cozy guesthouse. Together with our eight chickens and two cats, Kinkel and Pummel, we really enjoy all the people who come to visit.

We really hope you will enjoy this as much as we do. Smederij Abbekerk is the place to relax and make fun memories.
